Falcons coach Dan Quinn gave us his thoughts on the run defense before heading to the plane following a 25-20 win over the Jets Sunday:

“I think that was the key,” Quinn said about holding the Jets to 43 yards rushing. “It was going to be a line of scrimmage day. The defense hasn’t been happy with where they were at with in the run defense over the last two weeks.”

On what worked?

"It wasn't anything we did different, we just did it better," Quinn said. "Gap control and getting them down. I was pumped. We felt like we took a step to being more like we can be."
On if Ahtyba Rubin helped?

“He did help with his size and his strength in there. I just felt like we were communicating well. Everyone was doing their job. No one was jumping out of their gap. We were just playing good team ball.”
