With population growth and the coming of the Atlanta Braves, Cobb County is seeking options to relieve traffic congestion in the years ahead. Today, county chairman Tim Lee writes about what’s behind the idea for a Bus Rapid Transit system, and what it would require to build. Opposing him, a resident claims the cost to build and operate BRT is prohibitive and the county would be saddling taxpayers with unending debt. In our third column, Congressman Hank Johnson writes about a bill he’s introducing to ban guns at airports.
