As the political drama continues regarding the U.S. House’s impeachment inquiry regarding President Donald Trump, today we present viewpoints from Georgia authors on the issue.

Two local attorneys offer their opinions. This package offers insights on the current impeachment process as well as its place in U.S. history. One author, an employment law attorney, provides his thinking on how the touchy subject can be dealt with in modern workplaces. There's potential legal and business risk in how workers and employers handle the divisive topic in these sharply partisan days. Another author, also a lawyer, talks about how impeachment has historically created much political drama, but ended with the status quo intact.

Today, we also offer excerpts from other opinions around impeachment, including a snippet of a column on AJC.com by a former Georgia county commission chairman.
