MARTA is planning for an expansion of its rail service, depending on whether it can raise more revenue through a new sales tax referendum. Of the three extensions proposed, the one running north along Georgia 400 has prompted the most debate. Most recently, the Johns Creek City Council came out against an expansion of rail service.
