Federal and state laws can be effective in limiting the number of guns that wind up in criminals’ possession, but Georgia’s lax laws make it more dangerous for residents, writes our lead columnist. He adds Georgia is among the nation’s leading enablers of interstate gun crimes. In response, a state gun-rights group blames the crime on the criminal and says Georgia is not the exporter of “crime guns”; bad people are.
