Fireworks are now legal in Georgia, thanks to a new law passed this year by the General Assembly. A sponsor of House Bill 110 writes about the impetus for the legislation, with primary factors being economic impact and a citizen’s right to choose. In our second column, a pediatrician writes about the dangers of firecrackers and bigger explosives, and includes a scary anecdote from his own experience as a child.
