The Common Core State Standards, the national standards developed largely by the nation’s governors but seen as a federal initiative, continue to be debated even as they take root in classrooms across America. Today, we present a pro-con on the controversial math and English standards. Also, readers share their views on the recommendations of the Governor’s Education Reform Commission on how to fund Georgia schools and pay teachers.
