July 4th is just a week away. Here are some great places in Cobb County that you can visit with family and friends to celebrate the Red, White and Blue.

Fourth in the Park Festival - Marietta

The celebration will begin at 10 a.m. with a parade from Roswell Street Baptist Church to North Marietta Parkway. A fireworks display will follow at 9:30 p.m. at Marietta Square. The day’s events will feature musical performances from local bands, beauty pageant queens, an arts and crafts show and plenty of food from a variety of food vendors.  Let Freedom Ring - Acworth

The city of Acworth will host celebrations starting 4 p.m. at Cauble Park, leading up to a fireworks display at Lake Acworth beginning at 9:30 pm. There will be a free live concert. For more information please call (770) 917–1234 or visit AcworthParksAndRecreation.org

Star Spangled Spectacular - Kennesaw, July 1

Join the community at Kennesaw State University as they celebrate their 10th Annual Star Spangled spectacular on July 1 at the campus green. Bring the family for the Family Fun Festival that begins at 4 p.m. Music performances begin at 7:30 pm and will feature KSU’s Summer Orchestra, which will be followed by a fireworks display. Salute to AmericaKennesaw, July 3

The traditional pre-Independence Day celebrations in Kennesaw begins on July 3rd at 6 p.m. at the Historic Train Depot in downtown Kennesaw. The Star- Spangled fireworks display will begin at 9:30 pm, following free live music performances. Annual 4th CelebrationPowder Springs

Downtown Powder Springs will be the home to this year’s 4th of July celebrations. The celebrations will begin at 7 p.m., and include live entertainment by Glow Band, kids activities and Lew-E’s Comedy Circus. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

Six Flags Over Georgia’s Coca-Cola July 4th Fest - Austell, July 2-4

The park will begin a fireworks show each night beginning about at dusk.
