Is Bannon done? The left doesn’t think so

In this Jan. 20, 2017, file pool photo, Steve Bannon, appointed chief strategist and senior counselor to then- President-elect Donald Trump, arrives for the presidential inauguration at the US Capitol in Washington. Trump returned fire with both barrels Jan. 3, 2018, against criticism leveled at him in a new book that says he never expected — or wanted — to win the White House, his victory left his wife in tears and a senior adviser thought his son's contact with a Russian lawyer during the campaign was "treasonous."
Steve Bannon is now taking jabs from the president, will he be able to survive them? A roundup of editorials Friday takes a look at the issue.
Opinions from the left:
1. Bannon Is 100 percent right about Russia and the Trump campaign
From CNN: Does Trump hate Bannon because he was right about the Russia/Don Jr. meeting?
From Politico: Bannon will remain relevant, and he has Trump to thank for it.
3. Trump rises with Bannon's fall
From NBC News: Will this be the end of Bannon? Not as long as he has a platform – any kind of platform.
