Construction is progressing on Six Flags Over Georgia's new ride for 2017, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis. The site has been cleared, and next week concrete will be poured for the floor of the indoor attraction that will be like riding inside a video game where you join Superman, Batman and other heroes in a battle with the DC Comics villains. The building that houses the ride will be huge: 30 feet tall and covering an area nearly half the size of a football field. The ride will open in spring 2017 as part of Six Flags Over Georgia's 50th anniversary celebration.

The AJC recently visited the construction site and interviewed Terry Stephens, director of maintenance and project manager, Six Flags Over Georgia, and Gene Petriello, communications manager

Six Flags Over Georgia, about the ride and to check on the massive construction project which has involved removing 1,280 truck loads of dirt and digging six feet deep into the ground.
