Katie Luepke was a fan of “Greenery” — Pantone’s color of the year — well before 2017. When she updated her downstairs powder room three years ago, she selected a bamboo wallpaper in bright green by Cowtan & Tout. Custom pillows on her living room couch are made of fresh grassy green fabrics with a Greek key border, and jade-colored Oriental foo dog sculptures perch on shelves above.
Her colorful home is one of five featured in the Young Collectors' Home Tour on Feb. 5 that kicks off the 2017 Cathedral Antiques Show and spotlights the use of antiques in bold designs.
“I have pretty traditional tastes when it comes to pieces of furniture,” she said. “You’ll see very traditional pieces, but then … bright artwork and bright paint colors. You can really do whatever you want.”
