When Dan and Susan Graveline built their Peachtree Corners home in 2014, they were pretty sure what features they wanted.

Susan and Dan Graveline built their Peachtree Corners home in 2014. They live there with their two miniature Schnauzers, Lola and Maggie Mae. Susan is a corporate event and wedding planner, the founder of Mothers and Daughters Against Cancer and a potter, and Dan is retired from a career as the executive director of the Georgia World Congress Center. The great room of Susan and Dan Graveline’s Peachtree Corners home flows out to the rest of the home. In Susan Graveline’s home office, she has a small wooden alcove that she had painted a faux rust finish by Patricia Presto of On the Surface. In that niche she has a large plaster leaf that she purchased from a local artist at Scott Antique Markets. Another unique barn door adds rustic elegance to the space. Text by Shannon Dominy. A large curved island, reminiscent of the curve of the stairway in the center of the home, anchors the kitchen of Dan and Susan Graveline’s home. “It is the heart of the home,” said Susan. In the master bedroom of Susan and Dan Graveline’s home, the walls are a pale blue, giving the space a serene vibe.
