Walt Geer and Sarah Blackman’s Alpharetta brownstone has lovely touches of Christmas cheer throughout. The couple worked with interior designer Christopher Taillard to create the interior style of their new home.

When Sarah Blackman and Walt Geer bought their brownstone townhome in 2017, they were the first to buy in their community. The location, at the heart of alpharetta and walkable to nearly everything they needed, was the major draw. Their home is 3,400 square feet with three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. Working with interior designer Christopher Taillard, Sarah Blackman and Walt Geer designed their kitchen to their taste, following his advice to mix metal finishings in features like their vent hood, faucet and Circa Lighting pendants. The Marilyn Monroe painting in Sarah Blackman’s office is by artist Sarah Martin. It fit the fun, colorful vibe of the space, as did the campaign chest that her husband, Walt Geer, made for her and the purple roller skates sculpture that they bought in Hawaii. Homeowner Walt Geer’s office is grounded and masculine, with a desk from Wayfair and a brown leather chair from Room and Board. One wall displays his guitar collection.
