I have a wonderful lunch at The Fickle Pickle which included their potato salad. I puzzled over the interesting flavor and couldn't quite make out the ingredient that sets it apart for other potato salads I've had. The staff shared that tarragon was used in several of the restaurant's salads. Would the chef share the recipe? — Darlene Clott, Marietta
No tarragon in the potato salad although there was a good bit of tarragon in the restaurant's chicken salad recipe we ran just before Mother's Day this year. Andy Badgett, owner of The Fickle Pickle was happy to share this recipe as well, another example of how well-seasoned ingredients make all the difference. The amount of salt used to cook the potatoes may surprise you, but it means the potatoes are very well-seasoned. This big batch will be perfect for a Labor Day picnic.
