As February approaches, it’s the time of year when we’re craving the bright blue skies of spring and summer.

Recreate those sunny days while you’re at home by making cocktails full of fruity, tropical flavors. The two below — one with vodka, another with tequila and both with some form of pineapple — will have you booking your vacation to a sandy beach with rolling cerulean waves in no time.

Lightning on My Feet

1 1/2 oz. Reyka Vodka

2 oz. pineapple juice

3/4 oz. Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur

1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice

Angostura bitters

Combine all ingredients into cocktail shaker. Shake and serve over crushed ice in a rocks glass. Top with a couple dashes of bitters and garnish with a pineapple leaf.

Spicy Tropic

1 1/2 oz. Tequila Don Julio 70

1 oz. ginger

1 half lime

6 pineapple bites

1 splash ginger ale

1 pinch cayenne pepper

Lime wheel and candied ginger for garnish

Combine Tequila Don Julio 70, ginger, squeezed half lime, pineapple bites and a splash of ginger ale in a rocks glass with ice and stir.

Top with a pinch of cayenne pepper. Garnish with lime wheel and candied ginger.
