HBO Max will launch a new big-budget film reboot of “Dune” starring Timothée Chalamet on Friday while HBO brings back the final season of Issa Rae’s “Insecure” Sunday. HBO also has a new documentary about the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol out on Tuesday.
Over on ABC Tuesday, a former hip-hop girl group from the 1990s gets back together in 2021 in the new drama “Queens” that stars Eve and Brandy. The series is shot in Atlanta.
Gwyneth Paltrow doles out relationship advice in the new Netflix series “Sex, Love & Goop” on Thursday, the same night NBC’s “Law & Order: SVU” celebrates its 500th episode. Netflix will also debut a new comedy starring Lizzy Caplan and Christian Slater on Friday called “Inside Job.”
Jason Sudeikis, fresh off the success of two seasons of “Ted Lasso,” returns to his old stomping grounds as host of “Saturday Night Live” on Saturday.
Some veteran shows also come back: A&E’s “Hoarders” (13th season) and “Intervention” (23rd season) Monday; ABC”s “The Bachelorette” (18th season) Tuesday; and NBC’s “The Blacklist” (ninth season) on Thursday. ABC also has an hour-long special on Robin Williams Wednesday.
Celebrity chef David Chang explores the future of food in “The Next Thing You Eat” on Hulu while Discovery+ gives actress Selma Blair an opportunity to discuss her life with multiple sclerosis in “Introducing, Selma Blair.”
