If you’re torn between the hustle and bustle of city life and the peace and quiet of the suburbs, the best of both worlds can be found in Alpharetta, according to a new study from StorageCafe.

The Atlanta-area suburb is ranked 19th on StorageCafe’s “Best U.S. Suburbs For City-Like Living” list, thanks to a mix of factors including good schools, high earnings, local businesses, lifestyle-oriented amenities and proximity to restaurants, stores and health care facilities.

The study looked at approximately 1,000 suburbs and ranked them across several criteria, including a housing affordability index, local employment opportunities (businesses/1,000 people) and their corresponding average wage, crime rate, public schools ranking and the number of restaurants and shopping avenues.

Other Atlanta-area suburbs on the list include Suwanee (21st), Milton (87th), and Snellville (98th).

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors. And while Atlanta wasn't included in Trump's list, the city fits that profile under Mayor Andre Dickens. (Photo Illustration: Philip Robibero / AJC | Source: Getty)
