According to Zillow Gone Wild, Santa Claus has been living large from a $1,154,137 luxury megahome at the North Pole this year. The property includes Santa’s three bedroom, three bathroom, 2,500 square-foot main living quarters, a community of tiny elf homes, a state-of-the-art toy-making facility, garage with space for Mr. Claus’ sleigh and stables for all his reindeer.

“The home, constructed in the 1800s, is steeped in Old World charm but thanks to a recent renovation, offers modern-day amenities,” the home’s Zillow listing said. “Find a floor-to-ceiling river rock fireplace for roasting chestnuts in the living room. The gourmet kitchen is a baker’s dream, boasting an oven with 12 different cookie settings. Cookies are served directly from oven to table in the adjoining dining room, along with cocoa on tap.

“Boughs of holly deck the hall leading to the primary bedroom and two charming guest rooms. Tiptoe to Santa’s quiet study where an impressive writing desk is flanked by the same sewing table he used to make the original Teddy bear.”

The on-site elven community have their own private accommodations.

“Elves didn’t just invent tiny homes, they perfected them,” a 2017 Zillow report said. “When elves first joined Santa in the North Pole, they decided to live on-site – the traffic jams caused by migrating polar bears made the commute intolerable. So they quickly got to work building their own community on Santa’s land.

“Because the diminutive craftsmen didn’t need much space, they kept their homes small: 150 square feet. While each elf added their own flair, the layouts are similar with the living area and bathroom on the main level and the bedroom in the loft. Word of these mini dwellings spread south and so began the rise of tiny homes for larger humans.”
