Two-time NBA champion and former Georgia Bulldogs’ SEC Player of the Year Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (KCP) may be kicking it in Colorado with the Denver Nuggets, but that’s not keeping the Georgia native from visiting his home turf from time to time. The former Laker even has an Atlanta mansion for visiting during the off season.

Purchased in 2016 for $1,585,100, the Sandy Springs estate features a 10,188-square-foot palace and 0.86 acres of well-manicured land. From the home theater to the outdoor kitchen, KCP’s Atlanta mansion includes a swath of high-end luxuries perfect for Georgia’s 2012-2013 season leading scorer.

The home has six bedrooms, six bathrooms (with heated floors), two half bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, Brazilian cherry and maple flooring and a number of other pricey features. KCP’s Atlanta mansion is not his only private quarters, however.

The basketball star also owns a home in Potomac, MD, which was purchased in 2021.

A top scorer, rebounder and leader in steals, KCP dominated the court during his two-season foray with the Georgia bulldogs. In 2013, the talented guard opted to enter the NBA draft, rather than play a Junior year at UGA. Selected by the Detroit Pistons, he went on to be the eighth overall pick in the draft.

“It’s a terrific night for Kentavious because his dreams are coming true, and we’re excited about that for him,” Georgia’s coach at the time, Mark Fox, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in 2013. “It also shows that at Georgia your dreams can come true.”

KCP went on to win an NBA championship with the L.A. Lakers in 2020 and again with his current team, the Denver Nuggets, in 2023.
