Baseball icon David Ortiz has placed his Miami-area mansion on the market in what may become a historic sale for the community. Located in Pinecrest, Florida, the 10,178 square-foot mansion features five bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half bathrooms. The mansion has hit the market for a whopping $12.5 million, paving the way for it to be the priciest single-family home sale in the area.

“Modern style meets unmatched elegance in this tropical paradise in N Pinecrest,” the listing said. “This exquisite 2019 custom estate sits on over an acre and greets you with multiple water features, grand foyer, volume ceilings and floor to ceiling white linen draperies. Unique open plan offering panoramic views of the outdoors from (the) great room.”

The kitchen comes equipped with Wolf and SubZero appliances. The estate also comes with a home theater and sports bar for entertaining. There are bi-level bedrooms that feature private sitting rooms downstairs as well.

The master suite includes a boutique walk-in closet and sitting area, as well as a spar bath with a floating tub and 16-foot shower. Outside, there is an outdoor oasis with a pool, spa, outdoor shower and covered terrace.

Other features of the estate include an elevator, a maid’s room, generator, three separate fire pits and a three-car garage with space for lifts.

Ortiz, who was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame last year, and his wife purchased the home for $1.5 million back in 2016.
