Get ready to party — Atlanta rapper Quavo is celebrating his birthday during the Hawks’ home game Saturday against the Brooklyn Nets.
The evening will honor the Atlanta sports “super fan” for his devotion to the team as well as his philanthropic work in the community.
Prior to tipoff, Quavo will welcome fans and introduce the starting lineups alongside Hawks’ PA announcer Big Tigger. Throughout the game, fans can expect to hear a curated playlist of Quavo’s favorite Atlanta songs. The entertainer will also host students from the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta as his special guests.
“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate [my birthday] than with a team I’ve supported for so many years,” Quavo said in a news release. “The Hawks are family to me and I’m one of their biggest supporters. I’m looking forward to taking home this win and celebrating together for the year’s best party!”
The game also falls on one of the team’s Forever 404 Nights, which features the Hawks’ 2021-22 NBA City Edition uniforms and coordinating court. Limited-edition co-branded shirts that commemorates the night will be available for purchase only at the Hawks Shop at State Farm Arena. Proceeds from the shirt sales will go to the rapper’s Quavo Cares Foundation.
The Hawks previously hosted Quavo Night in February 2020, when Trae Young scored 50 points for the first time in his career and gave Quavo his game-worn jersey in a memorable moment.
