The AJC Peachtree Road Race is no exception, and this year, PNC Bank needs you to help create the perfect training playlist. Contribute your favorite pump up or patriotic song, and you could play a part in inspiring 60,000 runners and walkers as they prepare for the world's largest 10K!

While listening to music can help some get through a training run or race, Atlanta Track Club urges participants to use their headphones smartly. Always keep the volume low enough to be aware of your surroundings. Even better, run with a headphone in one ear only to ensure that you can hear traffic and other pedestrians.

During races, participants should have the volume low enough to receive instructions from volunteers, course monitors or race directors. Music may make your run more enjoyable, but nothing is more important than returning from the run safely.

Atlanta Track Club is a non-profit organization with a mission of creating a healthy and active Atlanta through running and walking. Among its more than 30 annual events and programs is the AJC Peachtree Road Race, one of Atlanta’s most treasured events. Since 1976, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has been the title sponsor of the race, which is the world’s largest 10K with 60,000 participants each year.
