It may sound like advertising trickery, but Dragon Con fans who have not coughed up the cash to spend their weekend in cosplay paradise have a free and clear chance to get a free weekend pass to Dragon Con.
How you ask?
Walk into popular Atlanta gaming bar Joystick, located at 427 Edgewood Ave. SE, between 5 and 8 p.m. tonight and let luck light your way. Every person that walks in the door gets two raffle tickets for a chance at a single pass to the gaming and pop culture mega convention. Those who actually purchase items will receive an extra raffle ticket, according to a post on Joystick's Facebook page.
At 8 p.m. Joystick will announce the winner of one pass. Some time between 8 and 11 p.m., a fortunate soul will have a chance at two Dragon Con passes. NOTE: Dragon Con hopefuls must be present at the time of the raffle announcement to win the passes.
Even if you don’t win the passes, there’s still some major incentives to hanging out at Joystick Wednesday night. Those dressed in their cosplay costumes get a 20 percent discount off their drinks Wednesday and all Dragon Con weekend. You also can take advantage of the discount with a Dragon Con badge.
