ATLANTA

American Originals: Norman Rockwell & Coca-Cola

Until his death in 1978, artist Norman Rockwell made a specialty of capturing classic moments in American life, many of which graced the covers of popular magazines of his day. But before he became an artistic icon, he worked for hometown favorite Coca-Cola. Between 1928 and 1935, he created six original paintings that depicted regular folks enjoying that pause that refreshes. Through May, visitors to the World of Coca-Cola can get a close-up look at three of those works, as well as marketing materials featuring the other three Rockwell Coke creations that are believed to be privately owned or lost.

9 a.m.-6 p.m. April 4 and April 5; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. April 6. Through May 1. World of Coca-Cola, 121 Baker St., Atlanta. 404-676-5151, www.worldofcoca-cola.com.
