Zeal opens in east Cobb
Zeal Modern Eatery is set to open for dinner on Friday in Market Plaza on Johnson Ferry Road in east Cobb. Executive chef Eric Mulville is a Culinary Institute of America grad and the former executive chef and managing partner of Maggiano's Buckhead. Mulville's menus for lunch, dinner and late night feature a variety of price points among small plates, sandwiches and entrees, including steaks, seafood and pasta. Smoke Ring opens in Castleberry Hill
Smoke Ring, a new "gastro" barbecue joint from 101 Concepts (Cibo e Beve, Food 101, Meehan's Public House), is set to open in Castleberry Hill on Thursday in the former J.R. Crickets space. Jordan Wakefield, former executive chef at Meehan's downtown, and his wife, Erin, are the owners and operators. Philippe Haddad partners at F&B Atlanta
F&B Atlanta co-owners Fabrice Vergez and Cindy Brown recently announced Philippe Haddad as partner and executive chef of F&B Atlanta. Belgian-born Haddad is known in Atlanta for his time at restaurants such as the Abbey, Nikolai's Roof, and Philippe's Bistro. More recently, he was general manager at the short-lived Modern Restaurant + Bar in Buckhead. Taste of Atlanta’s ‘Taste Revival’
Kicking off Taste of Atlanta's 2013 weekend of food and drink on Friday, "Atlanta's Taste Revival: Local Chefs, Smokin' Jams" is an evening block party featuring host Ron Eyester and a crew of chefs.
