Folk Art open in Inman Park

Folk Art, the new breakfast, lunch and brunch spot from chef/owner Jason Hill of Wisteria, has opened in Inman Park, in a corner storefront a few doors down from Wisteria. Look for multiple variations on eggs Benedict, waffles, and eggs any style with the likes of country ham, boudin sausage, and fried chicken, plus specialty burgers and sandwiches. General Muir, Optimist on Bon Appétit list

Bon Appétit released its annual list of America's 50 Best New Restaurant nominees. As in 2012, two Atlanta restaurants, the General Muir and the Optimist, are on the list, and the Optimist ended up on the final Hot 10 list, as chosen by the magazine's "Foodist," Andrew Knowlton. Last year, Cakes & Ale and Cardamom Hill made the 50 best list, and Cakes & Ale ended up on the final Hot 10 list. Aqua Blue celebrates 12 years

Roswell's Aqua Blue Restaurant & Bar is marking its 12th anniversary with a weeklong celebration beginning Aug. 14 featuring a special three-course menu and a party on Aug. 21. The restaurant also recently started weekday lunch service. The $20.01 per person menu includes a tasting plate, entree and dessert, with choices such as Maine lobster ravioli, shrimp and scallop grits, and grilled beef tenderloin. Olmsted transitioning to event space

Legacy Restaurant Partners announced that, as of Monday, Aug. 12, it is transitioning Olmsted from a restaurant to a full-time event facility for weddings, corporate lunches and other private events. Legacy operates private event spaces in the Luckie Marietta District of downtown Atlanta. The company also owns the adjacent Article 14 restaurant, which has recently updated its lunch and dinner menus.
