Zeb Stevenson at Parish and more chef shuffles
Zeb Stevenson, the former executive chef at Livingston, confirmed that he’s taken over the kitchen at Parish, and the Concentrics group announced an early 2014 face-lift for the Inman Park restaurant, along with a new menu and a new mixologist. In other chef news, Matt Basford is the replacement for Carvel Grant Gould at Canoe in Vinings. Cyrille Holota has left BLT Steak Atlanta for a job in Bora Bora. And according to her Facebook page, beloved cake decorator Karen Portaleo is leaving Highland Bakery.
Villagio Italian Kitchen open in Decatur
Villagio Italian Kitchen is now open for dinner on Clairmont Road. Owner Kamal Bhatia and chef Brian Obermeyer, recently executive chef and owner of Pastis in Roswell, teamed up to create what they call "a casually sophisticated dining experience with the intimate, Old World hospitality found in Italian village restaurants." Second Righteous Room location in Brookhaven
The second location of the popular Poncey-Highland restaurant/dive bar, dubbed the Righteous Room NE, recently opened for lunch, though the liquor license is still pending. A week of specials at da Via in Alpharetta
Fast casual Italian eatery da Via in Perimeter Place Shopping Center is "saying hello to the neighborhood" with a week of specials and promotions Dec. 2-8, including $5 meals and bowls, free kids bowls and tiramisu, plus a bicycle giveaway.
