Chama Gaucha in Buckhead
Houston-based Chama Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse is now open for lunch and dinner in the former Modern space on Piedmont Road in Buckhead. The churrascaria-style, all-you-can-eat restaurant features a sprawling salad bar with charcuterie, cheese, seafood and vegetables. Cuts of lamb, pork, chicken and beef are cooked over an open fire and presented table side on spits by roving bands of "gaucho" servers. Picanha, the prime cut of sirloin, is the house specialty. Other Chama Gaucha locations include San Antonio and Chicago. 3365 Piedmont Road N.E., Suite 1350. 404-842-0011, chamagaucha.com.
‘Ms. Ann’ has passed away
One of Atlanta’s most iconic restaurateurs, Ms. Ann Price, owner of Ann’s Snack Bar on Memorial Drive, passed away last week at the age of 72, according to an obituary posted by Gregory B. Levett and Sons Funeral Homes. Price was the creator of the beloved “Ghetto Burger,” made famous as the “World’s Greatest Burger” by the Wall Street Journal in 2007. But “Ms. Ann” also was known for her quirky, no-nonsense style and posted “Rules and Regulations For Service,” which included “Please Do Not: Curse In Snack Bar.” 1615 Memorial Drive S.E., Atlanta, 404-687-9207.
