Fado open in Midtown

Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, Fado Irish Pub opened its newest location in Midtown on March 14. "Irish pubs, in addition to being the social centers, now include savory food, local beers and excellent cocktails. We're excited to bring a 2015 vintage pub to Midtown residents, neighbors and workers alike," said Fado founder Kieran McGill, who opened the original Buckhead location in 1996. Braves All Star Grill

The Goldbergs Group is set to open its second location of the Atlanta Braves All Star Grill on Friday in the 200 Building in downtown Atlanta. Expanding from the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport location, the new restaurant will feature a ballpark look and feel, Braves memorabilia, an interactive pitching cage, and a chef-inspired menu. Gu’s Bistro closed

Though the new Krog Street Market spinoff, Gu's Dumplings, is set to open in mid-March, beloved Szechuan restaurant Gu's Bistro has announced the closing of its Buford Highway location. A statement on the Gu's website confirmed that the owners are looking for a new location. Gu's Dumplings at Krog Street Market will be a smaller version of Gu's Bistro, featuring Zhong-style dumplings, cold noodle dishes and other favorites from the Buford Highway original. 99 Krog St., Atlanta. gusdumplings.com.

Nathalie Dupree in Who’s Who

Chef, teacher, cookbook author and former Atlanta Journal-Constitution Food editor Nathalie Dupree is among five 2015 inductees to the Who's Who of Food & Beverage in America announced last week by the James Beard Foundation. This year's honorees, including Allan Benton, owner of Benton's Smoky Mountain Country Hams in Tennessee, will be celebrated at the annual James Beard Foundation Awards presented on May 4 at Lyric Opera of Chicago. jamesbeard.org/awards.
