Woodfire Grill closing
Owner Nicolas Quinones has announced that Woodfire Grill will close on May 20. "Simply put, my local, sustainable restaurant is not sustainable because I don't have enough guests walking through the door," Quinones said. Since chef Michael Tuohy opened the Cheshire Bridge restaurant in 2002, Woodfire has been dedicated to offering seasonal tasting menus with items sourced from local farms and purveyors. Woodfire's heyday came after chef Kevin Gillespie's star-making turn on the sixth season of "Top Chef." Gillespie left to open Gunshow in 2013. 1782 Cheshire Bridge Road, Atlanta. 404-347-9055, woodfiregrill.com.
