The Mercury at PCM

Brooks Cloud, Julian Goglia and Mike Blydenstein, the partners behind the Pinewood in Decatur and Proof Old Fashioned Cocktail Syrup, are set to open their new restaurant, the Mercury, at Ponce City Market this week. Billed as "a cocktail-focused, classic American eatery," the Mercury will offer "an updated take on midcentury American cuisine and classic cocktails inspired by the culture of the 1960s." Urban pL8 finally open

Dedicated followers of the paleo diet, as well as gluten-free and CrossFit devotees, can rejoice. Chef/owner Betsy Pitts and partner Amy Lloyd finally opened the new, high-tech version of Urban pL8 at Krog Street Market. Look for many items that first appeared on the menu at the original Urban pL8 on Huff Road in Atlanta's Westside design district, with grab-and-go salads and sandwiches, and a variety of paleo and gluten-free options, including more meals to go, weekly meal plans and family meals. 99 Krog St. N.E., Atlanta. urbanpl8.com.

Lusca open until June

Two months after announcing Lusca would be closing in January, chef Angus Brown and chef/partner Nhan Le have extended the closing date until June 2016. The duo is planning to open a new, much more casual restaurant called Ama in the Paris on Ponce market near the Beltline. But Brown told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that "we're realizing it's going to take a little more time, and we want to take the time to do it right." Ecco opening in Buckhead

Fifth Group Restaurants (South City Kitchen, La Tavola Trattoria, the Original El Taco, Alma Cocina, Lure) plans to open a third location of Ecco, its Euro-style restaurant, with two current locations in Midtown and at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The newest Ecco is set to open near Phipps Plaza in Buckhead in mid-2017. Fifth Group's second concept in the area, South City Kitchen Buckhead, is expected to open in spring 2017. fifthgroup.com.
