Best and Smith restaurant at KSM
Greg Best and Regan Smith have signed on as the fifth and final anchor restaurant tenant at Krog Street Market. Best and Smith have a long history in the restaurant and hospitality business, originally moving to Atlanta as part of the opening team at Emeril's in Buckhead. In 2008, the duo partnered with Andy Minchow and Linton and Gina Hopkins to open Holeman and Finch Public House, the bar/restaurant that brought the craft cocktail movement to Atlanta. Though the new KSM restaurant's name and concept have not been revealed, according to a press release, "the full service location will certainly offer food and drink in a comfortable manner." krogstreetmarket.com.

Ponce Zesto to become Cook Out
Last week, the owners of Zesto announced that its iconic diner-style restaurant on Ponce de Leon Avenue, which has been open for 60 years, would close on Sept. 20. Later, it was revealed that Cook Out, a Southern drive-though burger chain that gained a cult following with its bargain-priced fast food, would take over the property. The first Atlanta Cook Out location opened on Moreland Avenue in late April and has been crowded with cars and customers since. There are five other Zesto locations around metro Atlanta offering ice cream treats, burgers and more. zestoatlanta.com, cookout.com.
