Le Fat opening this week

Guy Wong, chef/owner of Miso Izakaya, announced the opening of his long delayed, much anticipated new restaurant, Le Fat, this week. Taking over the Westside space formerly occupied by the short-lived Yum Bunz, the Vietnamese concept was originally announced for summer 2014. Le Fat will offer com (rice), bun (vermicelli), and pho (noodle soup), plus family-style dishes such as fried whole fish. Little 5 Corner Tavern reopens

The Little 5 Corner Tavern in Little Five Points, which was forced to close in May 2013 when it was damaged by a two-alarm fire, finally reopened this week after extensive renovations. The pub and pool hall features a sprawling menu of apps, specialty sandwiches, burgers, and entrees such as steak and salmon, plus weekend brunch. Battle & Brew in Sandy Springs

The new location of Battle & Brew is now open on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. Billed as Atlanta's first game bar, the original location opened in 2005. Look for a big selection of new and classic TV and computer games. At the bar, find signature and classic cocktails and a sizable craft and draft beer list. New South Family Supper

There are still tickets for the New South Family Supper hosted by Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison at their Summerland Farm. The April 12 benefit for the Southern Foodways Alliance features an array of Southern chefs, including Mashama Bailey of the Grey in Savannah, Greg Baker of the Refinery in Tampa, Fla., Frank Lee of Slightly North of Broad in Charleston, S.C., Bruce Logue of Bocca Lupo in Atlanta, and Steven Satterfield of Miller Union in Atlanta.
