We love the Seafood Bisque at the Marietta Fish Market. Unfortunately, we live two hours away from there so a round trip of four hours isn't practical. Is there any chance they would give you the recipe? — M. D. Moore, Buford

Gus Tselios, owner of the Marietta Diner and the Marietta Fish Market, provided this recipe for AJC readers many years ago. At the time he said it was one of the restaurant’s most requested recipes, and it still is today. He was happy to have us publish the recipe again.

The broth in this bisque is absolutely delicious and this soup is well worth making. If you don’t want five kinds of seafood in your soup, just use what you prefer. It won’t be the same as the restaurant’s, but it will still be delicious.

Is there a recipe from a metro Atlanta restaurant you’d like to make at home? Tell us and we’ll try to get it. We’ll also test it and adapt it for the home kitchen. Because of volume, we can’t answer all inquiries. Send your request, your address and phone number to fromthemenu@gmail.com and put “From the menu of” and the name of restaurant in the subject line.
