Reese Witherspoon, who was in Atlanta for the movie "Devil's Knot" last year, is back for another project. This time, she is here for "The Good Lie." The plot, as summarized by imdb.com: "The based-on-true-events story follows a young refugee of the Sudanese Civil War who wins a lottery and is transferred to the United States. A brash American woman (played by Witherspoon) helps the young man deal with his overwhelming culture shock, as well as the crippling guilt he suddenly feels about leaving his brother behind in their war-torn homeland." Witherspoon has been seen at Bocado and Yeah Burger since arriving in Atlanta for this movie.

Honey Boo Boo penning a cookbook

Honey Boo Boo an'em, known for their love of a butter-ketchup-pasta concoction they call "sketti," are working on a cookbook. Yum! It's apparently one of two titles coming together in connection with the McIntyre family of 7-year-old beauty queen Alana Thompson, star of TLC's "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" and "Toddlers and Tiaras." Alana's mom, June Shannon, keeps in touch with fans via her Facebook page, which this week announced the multiple Boo Boo book projects. "We have a book to be released this summer along with a TLC cookbook," the post read. There's also "a possible book tour" in the works. No details on that yet, but we'll surely cover it. We love us some Honey Boo Boo.

Viola Davis makes a splash

Viola Davis, in Atlanta to film the movie "Prisoners" with Jake Gyllenhaal, Hugh Jackman, Maria Bello and Terrence Howard, took some time out to visit the Georgia Aquarium the other day. The Oscar-nominated Davis, beloved for her powerful role in "The Help," made some new flippered friends as she and daughter Genesis got a behind-the-scenes tour of the world's largest fish tank. Davis is no stranger to Atlanta. She joined Octavia Spencer, who earned an Academy Award for her role in "The Help," for a local premiere of the movie based on Atlanta author Kathryn Stockett's book in August 2011. In "Prisoners," Davis and Howard and Jackman and Bello star as couples whose children have been abducted. Gyllenhaal plays the police detective working the case. It has been filming mostly OTP, in Tucker, Conyers, Social Circle and Monroe, and has also filmed at the Atlanta Medical Center's facility in East Point. The movie wraps in a few weeks.
