A Georgia mother who appeared on an episode of "16 and Pregnant" with her daughter -- Whitney Purvis -- was arrested Sunday morning for possession of meth and marijuana.

An article on the website of the Rome News-Tribune says April Michelle Purvis, 37, smelled of marijuana when pulled over by police. A police dog located marijuana between the front seats of the car.

Meth was discovered in Purvis' pocket.

She is charged with felony possession of methamphetamines and misdemeanor possession of less than one ounce marijuana.

Also arrested was Purvis' passenger, Victor Lamar Clement, 48.

He is charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession.
