Power 96.1 morning host Riley Couture is now a mom.
This actually happened while I was overseas. I only noticed it on my Facebook feed today so I apologize for being late to the game.
Lyric, her son, was born October 19 at 2 p.m. at 7 pounds. On Instagram, Riley was smitten immediately.
His little spirit is so calm. His skin is so soft. His little cheeks are so perfect. His little baby cooing is music to my ears. There is NOTHING greater in this life than the love for your child. My precious little Lyric Matthew has changed me forever. I pray that I can be the mommy he deserves!
Since then, she has been posting many photos of her little baby. Today, she posted this one, to tie in with his name:
Riley and her co-host Scotty Kay joined Power as the new morning show in early 2014 and have been heavy users of social media to build a fanbase. The station and the morning show have grown significantly in audience this year. In October 2014, among the target audience of 18 to 34 year olds, Scotty and Riley were tied for eight place with a 3.7 share. This past month? They were up to a 6 share, good for fifth place.
Unmarried, Riley has not revealed the name of the father. She made the announcement of her pregnancy on air in May.
