Alyson Hannigan, who spent a few years as a kid in Atlanta, said the "How I Met Your Mother" series finale might have been better if they hadn't rushed through the death of the mother.

She told TVLine that the finale that aired last month was some 18 minute shorter than the script they worked off of at a "perfect" table read. "But [the full script] was also much more heart-wrenching," she shared, "which maybe people wouldn't have liked."

It featured a funeral scene that she said might have given viewers more closure.

Bert Weiss' syndicated show bumped Jack Diamond off Mix 107.3 in D.C. a year ago. Weiss worked with Diamond before he got his Q100 show in 2001.

But the Bert Show didn't do well in D.C. despite Weiss' former connections there, according to dcrtv.com. He would often not even land in the top 20 there, the website reported, falling far short of Diamond's performance. So he's out of D.C. after a year.

Mix vows to return to a locally based show instead.

"The show didn't gain ratings traction in the amount of time they wanted," Weiss wrote via text today. "A lot of factors play into a show doing well or not doing well. I never felt the wheels were entirely on the track at any time. It's a bummer because it was a deeply personal city for me."

The Bert Show remains on about 20 affiliates nationwide including Dallas, Nashville, Indianapolis and Salt Lake City.

I was out of town over the weekend and missed Streetz 94.5's second annual StreetzFest at the Masquerade this past Saturday. It was apparently much bigger than the first one and Lil Boosie headlined.

Time magazine columnist Joe Klein told PBS's Jeff Greenfield that he feels CNN "has gone in the toilet,' especially after its obsessive coverage of the missing Malayasian flight. He feels the only place to get a decent newscast at 6 p.m is on Fox News with former Atlantan Bret Baier.
