The New York Daily News last week reported that Atlanta's TLC star Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and "America's Got Talent" host Nick Cannon were caught canoodling at WDKX's Summerfest Concert in Rochester where TLC was performing.
"She's amazing," Cannon said about the singer during the premiere of the documentary "Gleason" in Los Angeles Thursday. "She's an outstanding person but you gotta ask her what's going on."
"I'm new to this! How does this whole thing work?" he said, joking, "Right now I'm damaged goods, I need to be repaired."
I reached out to Chilli's publicist but have not heard anything.
Cannon, 35, is very much split from his wife Mariah Carey but the divorce has yet to be finalized since their announced split in 2014.
Chilli, who spent two seasons on VH1 a few years back looking for love in a reality show "What Chilli Wants," is 45 but looks ten years younger. At the time, she was notoriously picky with her list of wants and needs for a man: for instance, they needed to be religious, in tip-top shape, non-pork eating and "packin' " so to speak. Ultimately, she didn't find what she wanted via reality television.
Cannon last year shot a reality show "Like a Boss" on Oxygen about the assistants of famous folks. He was executive producer and his Atlanta-based assistant Amber Grimes was featured. It aired in the spring but is unlikely to come back.
He recently opened an Atlanta office for his production company Ncredible. He also sells Ncredible headphones at Radio Shack. He visited a Radio Shack in Smyrna this spring to promote the headphones and shot a scene for his MTV2 show "Wild n Out."
