Season nine of Fox’s “Masterchef” isn’t even over and the reality competition show is already on the hunt for contestants for season 10.
The show, which seeks amateur and home chefs vying for a $250,000 prize, is hitting eight cities for open calls from September 8 through September 29. It's coming to Atlanta on Saturday, September 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Art Institute of Atlanta.
The other cities are Minneapolis and Charleston (September 8), Boston (September 15), New York and Chicago (September 22) and Los Angeles and Dallas (September 29).
It's highly recommended to pre-register here. You want to have a signature dish ready to go for the producers to sample.
You will have just three minutes to plate your dish at the casting call location, but they will not provide a kitchen to cook or warm your dish up or any utensils or dishes. Bring your own.
If you can't make it in person to any open casting calls, you can submit a video. Deadline is October 2 but the sooner the merrier.
The 10th season of “Masterchef” is expected to air in the summer of 2019.
Gordon Ramsay, the irascible chef, has been a judge since day one.
This is one of several food-related shows Fox has relied on in recent years featuring Ramsay. His resume includes “Hell’s Kitchen” (17 seasons, 2005-present), “Kitchen Nightmares” (seven seasons, 2007-2014), “Masterchef” (nine seasons, 2010-present), “Hotel Hell,” (three seasons, 2012-2016), “Masterchef Junior” (six seasons, 2013- present), “The F Word” (one season, 2017) and “Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours of Hell and Back” (one season, 2018).
