Kelly Clarkson, freed from her original RCA deal going back to her "Idol" days, is super excited about her new album with Atlantic Records.
According to Billboard.com, she said it's "literally the record I've been wanting to make since I was a kid." She says the album will feature a blend of soul, R&B and pop, a "fresh take on '90s R&B urban pop" and is "by far my favorite album I've ever been a part of, definitely."
She is psyched that her 13th Grammy nomination was her "Idol" live version of "Piece by Piece," really the only viral moment that happened on "Idol" in its last season when she cracked near the end with emotion.
"This particular version wraps up all of that nostalgia in one song," she said. "I feel very blessed.”

Colton Dixon, who finished seventh season 11, is doing well in the Christian pop-rock world, much like Danny Gokey.
He just released a single "All That Matters" in advance of his third album. According to Billboard.com, this is "a first glimpse at a new musical direction for the performer who, according to reps, has embraced the fusion of pop elements with his traditional alternative-rock sound. Think pop, dance and good times."
Dixon, who got married last year, said his new album arrives March 24. His first two albums cracked the top 40 on the Billboard 200. He's had a few hits on the Christian charts including "You Are" and "More of Me."
He is touring with Winter Jam and performed at the Georgia Dome this past weekend.

Ryan Seacrest admitted he had no idea who Aaron Rodgers was when he met the Green Bay Packers quarterback out of uniform at Ellen DeGeneres' birthday party.
This sports site claimed it was "embarrassing" but given that Seacrest is not a sports expert, I wouldn't say that's a fair statement. I certainly would not recognize Rodgers in person either. I'd call it more awkward, than anything else.
He does date Olivia Munn. I'm sure Seacrest knows her:

Adam Lambert last week challenged James Corden to a Queen sing off. Corden adored Queen growing up.
Obviously, it was a goof but a fun goof. And Queen songs are amazing. Period. They are touring this spring but much to my disappointment, there is no Atlanta date.

Clay Aiken on social media has been relatively kind to Donald Trump. In fact, his latest Twitter missive is more tongue in check and shows he likes a certain NBC show:
