Season 7 fourth place finalist
publicly admitted in a testimonial video to a porn addiction. The video is dubbed "I am Second." (Jesus is first in this reference. Watch it below)
"It started out as a small every now and then, then kept growing," Castro said to the camera. By the time he was on the "Idol" tour, he was watching porn multiple times a day. "It was keeping me depressed," he said. "I'd stay all night out of shame. The addictive cycle... I'd keep going. I couldn't stop."
Ultimately, he said he slept with someone on tour. He told his future wife a few months later about the affair and porn addiction. Even after they married, he slipped back. They grew more distant. "I was a coward," he said. "I didn't want to tell her."
Castro then entered a 12-step program, which gave him hope. He has remained married and feels this has helped his personal life. "I am no longer a porn addict or this thing keeping me away from my wife and my daughter," he said. "I can just be there."
