"Mama Joyce can dish it but she can't take it!" - Todd Tucker.
Todd's mom Sharon took on Kandi Burruss' mom Mama Joyce and Mama Joyce wouldn't give an inch.
"I know you speak very negatively about my child," Sharon tells Mama Joyce during a dinner that everyone anticipated would go badly. And it did.
Sharon has been hearing all about Mama Joyce's negative words about Todd from Todd. Todd was more than obliged to let his mother give Kandi's mom her just deserts. It's clear he takes some satisfaction from it.
Kandi, as usual, hates all this confrontation but can't seem to stop it either.
Mama Joyce has admitted to hiring a private investigator to follow Todd around, hoping to get dirt but took umbrage when anyone accuses her of "setting him up" by planting, say, a pretty woman in his path to see if he'll cheat on Kandi. She somehow takes pride she didn't go that far.
"Stop threatening him," Sharon says. "You set him up!"
"I never threatened him!" responds Mama Joyce, who quickly went ballistic. "I did not set him up!'
Mama Joyce starts waving her finger in Sharon's face. Sharon bats her arm away and calls her (rightfully) a "bitch."
Naturally, Mama Joyce takes that b-word and runs with it, wrapping herself in victimhood automatically because that's her default position.
The two women have to be pulled apart by family members.
'I want to see my daughter happy but I don't think Todd is the right man for her to be happy with," Mama Joyce said. "
Ultimately, everyone gets back together. Sharon, the bigger person, readily apologizes for calling Mama Joyce a "bitch." Mama Joyce does not apologize for her terrible attitude and as everyone else tries to act normally, she has a look on her face like she'd rather be eating shards of glass than look at Todd and Sharon.
Because Mama Joyce is such a class act that way.

Counseling and cake: Otherwise, the wedding planning is going fairly smoothly. Pastor Pollard gives Todd and Kandi some marriage counseling. She avoids issues at times while he wants to hit them head on. They do some cake sampling at Cakes by La'Meeka with Tan, one of Kandi's best friends and matron of honor. Carmon comes by, too, since she's the maid of honor. Kandi likes cake!
Dress for success? Ricco Chapple, the wedding dress designer, doesn't have Kandi's dress ready. Many bridezillas would get upset. Kandi goes with the flow. She just wants to make sure her breasts are covered properly. "He's going to be late, but great," Kandi says confidently. (Tan would be a bridezilla. She calls him "Ratchet Rico.")
No love between Tan and Carmon: Some of the bridesmaids gather, including Phaedra Parks and Rasheeda from "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta." Tan clearly hates Carmon and vice versa. Tan says Carmon needs to be plied with cocktails. Carmon doesn't think there was any point for the meeting since Tan sounded like she had all the bachelorette party planned out already.
Tan confronts Carmon for confronting Mama Joyce, basically blaming her for not knowing better. Carmon, she said, should be the bigger person and swallow whatever stupid things come out of Mama Joyce's mouth. "I deserve respect as well," Carmon responds. The argument starts devolving until one of the other bridesmaids shuts it down - for the sake of Kandi. So they drop it.
