Jenn Hobby's 14-m0nth-old daughter Reese, who was diagnosed with cancer in August, had what appeared to be successful surgery yesterday to remove the tumor at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

The Star 94.1 morning host called into the Jeff and Jenn show this morning from the hospital room and said she was both relieved and grateful. "We're really confident they got it all," she said. "This little fighter has a lot more fight left in her. There are many more chapters in this journey. We're ready for it."

She thanked surgeon Dr. Megan Durham for her fine work.

Hobby told her co-host Jeff Dauler that the surgery took four hours and the tumor was larger than she had expected. "Right now it's all about healing and getting her well," Hobby said. "She's pretty sore and weak...They stitched her up and are waiting for the incision to heal."

In the interim, Reese has learned how to walk. Hobby posted a video just a few days ago.
