Craig Lucie, the 4 p.m. anchor and a reporter for Channel 2 Action News, said today is his final day at the station after eight years.

On a Facebook video posted today by his co-anchor Wendy Corona, he said he is going to start a content and crisis communications business.

In an email, he detailed the company concept:

We are offering companies ‘content subscriptions’ so I will come in with a team and identify stories to humanize businesses, charities, organizations...you name it! The subscriptions are tiered so it caters to small, medium and large businesses and how many organic or cinematic storytelling pieces they may want. We will then strategically boost this content across many platforms. We will also help with website development, social media, crisis communications and your typical marketing/pr work. Mainly, we want to put companies and organizations on a path of becoming their own content creators.

He said he plans to stay in Atlanta. He also gave kudos to Corona for her bright, optimistic nature that always lifted him up when he was down.

Lucie came to WSB-TV as a weekend anchor and moved to weekdays in 2014 when John Bachman left.

A Southern Methodist University graduate, he previously worked at WESH-TV in Orlando, KTBC-TV in Austin, Texas and KZTV in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is married with a daughter and son.
