Atlanta-based TNT has renewed "Rizzoli & Isles" for a seventh season, but it was given only 13 episodes instead of the usual 15.
The show has been a sturdy performer, the most popular TNT drama in total viewers. It does skew older than shows like "The Last Ship."
While overnight viewing is around 4 to 4.5 million, counting all on-demand, online and DVR usage, it jumps to 11 million.

"The Walking Dead" now has an official beer from Terrapin Beer Company of Athens.
According to something called the Beer Street Journal, Made with blood orange peel, and a horrific amount of hops, this bloodthirsty red IPA will have you prepared for the upcoming Zombie Apocalypse.
Apparently, Terrapin made a brief appearance in a season four episode.

In what is clearly a ridiculous reality competition show on Atlanta-based TBS, Funny or Die is seeking "America's Next Weatherman." The winner gets $100,000 and an appearance (not a job) with sister station CNN.
It's set to debut at 11 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015. That's not a standard debut for any show to be honest with you. Based on the trailer, there appears to be a fair share of potty and sex-related humor so maybe that's why it's starting so late. And it has the "Funny or Die" name attached to it so it probably will veer more to satire than sincerity.
"This will be the first time I've poked a little fun – actually a lot of fun – at what I am best known for," said one of the creators Mark Burnett, known for shows like "Survivor," "Shark Tank" and "Apprentice" to Variety. It's a real wink to our audience as we look for the next great meteorologist. The funniest part is that it turns out that these are actually terrific weathercasters."
