TV best bets with Winter Olympics, Westminster Dog Show, Walking Dead

While the Winter Olympics dominate the airwaves and the headlines this week, counter-programming includes the Westminster Dog Show on USA Tuesday and new episodes of "The Following," (Fox  on Monday), "Being Mary Jane" (BET on Tuesday), "True Detective" (HBO on Sunday), "Downton Abbey" (GPB on Sunday) and "The Walking Dead" (AMC on Sunday.)


“Almost Human ” 9 p.m. Fox — The deaths of two genetically enhanced children appear to be connected to a designer drug.

“The Bachelor” 8 p.m. ABC — Juan Pablo courts eight women in New Zealand.

“2014 Olympic Winter Games” 8 p.m. NBC — Women's Alpine skiing, men's freestyle skiing and men's short track.

“The Following ” 9 p.m. Fox — Ryan and Max follow evidence and try to stay ahead of the FBI.

“Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook Off ” 9 p.m. Food (third season finale) — Herschel Walker is in the finals!

“Single Ladies ” 9 p.m. VH1 — Work brings Raquel and Terrence closer together.

“Intelligence ” 10 p.m. CBS — The Cybercom team are on the case of a deadly and rapidly spreading virus in Texas.


“Dads” 8 p.m. Fox (first season debut) — The Whittlemore's couch is ruined by a drunk Crawford.

“138th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show ” 8 p.m. USA — Closing night featuring Best in Show.

“Face Off” 9 p.m. Syfy — The challenge is to create supernatural entities based on mysterious silhouettes.

“The Haves and the Have Nots ” 9 p.m. OWN —Jim helps Wyatt stay out of prison.

“New Girl” 9 p.m. Fox — Chaos reigns at the loft when Jess' unpredictable sister visits.

“Being Mary Jane” 10 p.m. BET — Paul Sr. tries to please Helen.

“Cougar Town” 10 p.m. TBS — The annual cul-de-sac yard sale gives Andy a chance to bet Elle she can't stop being snarky for a day.

“Justified” 10 p.m. FX — Raylan is out for revenge after Alison is attacked.


“American Idol 8 p.m. Fox — The 77 remaining singers get cut down even more.

“Winter Olympics” 8 p.m. NBC — More figure skating and women's speedskating.

“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” 9 p.m. TLC — The family sets up a swear jar after the girls' language gets a little too salty.

“Rake” 9 p.m. Fox — A death in Ben's family forces him to ask Keegan to take over a case in which the mayor's chief economic advisor is accused of murder.

“King of the Nerds ” 10 p.m. TBS — The teams build robots to compete in "robot dodgeball."

“Mob Wives ” 10 p.m. VH1 — Drita's dinner party leaves a sour taste when Renee holds Alicia accountable for their issues.

Banshee” 10 p.m. Cinemax— Incidents from Jason's past catch up with him so Lucas proposes a deal that may save his life.

Helix” 10 p.m. Syfy — Daniel makes a discovery. Hatake protects Walker from Sutton's mercenaries.


“Olympic Winter Games” 8 p.m. Saturday NBC — Women's Alpine skiing and men's speedskating.

“The Good Mistress” 8 p.m. Saturday Lifetime — A young woman struggling with alcoholism has a one-night stand with her friend's husband.

“Olympic Winter Games” 7 p.m. Sunday NBC — Figure skating and women’s snowboarding.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” 8 p.m. Sunday Bravo — Kenya tries to mend fences with NeNe.

“The NBA All-Star Game” 8 p.m. Sunday TNT — East meets West in New Orleans with stars such as LeBron James and Kevin Durant in the house.
