The Bert Show has confirmed what I broke three weeks ago: Seattle stand-up comic, actor and radio host Brian Moote is replacing Jeff Dauler.

Moote starts Thursday, joining Bert Weiss and Kristin Klingshirn. The show, based out of Atlanta and syndicated in 17 markets, is heard locally on Q100.

Dauler is expected to start at rival Star 94 at a yet undetermined time slot. He was Weiss' right-hand man for 14 years and his departure threw Weiss for a loop.

Coincidentally, Dauler began doing stand-up himself in 2014 and has been doing dates around the country.

Weiss is the last original member of the Bert Show team. lindsay Brien was on the team for a couple of years early on. Melissa Carter, who is now a morning host on B98.5,  left in 2011. Jenn Hobby, who joined in 2003 and worked the past three years at Kicks 101.5 before leaving recently, departed the Bert Show in 2012. Klingshirn joined the team in 2011.
