Animal Planet is going to give more love to the Georgia Aquarium via its reality show “The Aquarium” with a second season.

The first season did well for the network as the top new series this year to date among 25 to 54 year olds, based on Nielsen ratings.

“The Aquarium” is set up to highlight the large operation’s strengths, showing how the animals bond with the staff and its global conservation efforts.

Season one followed the aquarium’s biologists, researchers and aquarists during their day-to-day activities with sea otters, penguins, whale sharks and sea turtles, to name a few.
