"The Voice" season 17 finale was another victory for coach Kelly Clarkson, who not only has an eye for talent but clearly knows how to groom her singers into victors.
This is her third win in her four seasons courtesy of sweet country singer Jake Hoot. He was also a one-chair turn, which Kelly took special pride in noting multiple times.
And with Adam Lambert showing up during the finale along with former coach Jennifer Hudson, three of the four biggest "American Idol" stars (save for Carrie Underwood) has now appeared on the show that swiped much of "Idol's" mojo eight years ago.
Lambert's cover of Cher's"Believe" with finalist Katie Kadan is super pretty. Kadan embraces the moment:
And check out JHud’s dramatic rendition of “Memory” from “Cats.”

Here’s an extended preview for “American Idol,” which will return in early March for season 18 (or season 3 on ABC). It’s the same host and judges and schmaltz, too:
And here is Kelly with the eventual winner Hoot during the Monday live finale performance show:

Carrie Underwood wasn't on "The Voice" but she was on "Kennedy Center Honors" on CBS on Sunday paying tribute to the great Linda Ronstadt, who sadly can no longer sing because of Parkinson's Disease 10 years ago.
Underwood performed two of Ronstadt’s biggest hits “Blue Bayou” and “When Will She Be Loved.”
CNN will air a documentary called “The Sound of My Voice” about Ronstadt - one of the biggest pop stars of the 1970s - on New Year’s Day 2020.

"The Masked Singer" concludes this week and one of the finalists is Rottweiller who Web sleuths have figured out to be... Chris Daughtry.
Last week, her performed Lewis Capaldi’s super-emotive “Someone You Loved,” which is right in Daughtry’s wheelhouse.

I was unable to make David Archuleta's City Winery Atlanta appearance last week but he was on the CW performing at the Hollywood Christmas Parade:
He also released this video featuring “Archie” fan videos while he sings “The Christmas Song.”
And remember season 4's Mikalah Gordon and season 6's Brandon Rogers? Here they are with "Rockstar: Supernova" alum Toby Rand and"Rockstar: INXS" judge Gary Beers.

Meghan McCain is close buds with Clay Aiken, who was able to return to "The View" with Ruben Studdard to sing "O Holy Night" last week.
Aiken is also wearing Meghan McCain socks.
It’s always lovely to see Aiken and Studdard together. They promise to take their Christmas show on the road in 2020 and Atlanta BETTER be on their schedule!
